Ericsson Provide Broadband Equipment Module

Ericsson mobile provides the latest specially designed broadband module for high-speed wireless connectivity for consumer electronics devices or consumer electronics (CE) of new generation. The availability of these anticipate the demands of broadband technologies (broadband) that are increasingly popular.

This CE module can be implemented for the e-book readers, GPS navigators, and other popular portable consumer electronic devices. Module has the potential to be integrated into the media player, durable goods and more, as mobile broadband has become part of everyday life.

Vice President Ericsson Mobile Broadband Modules, Mats Norin, said, all devices can be connected in accordance with the requirements of telecom technology that already exists. C3607w module was launched at the Intel Developer Forum (IDF).

This module is part of collaboration with Intel, Ericsson announced years ago and brought HSPA mobile data solutions to Intel’s platform “Moorestown” based MIDS. Ericsson and Intel will together bring computing and telecommunications industry into the mobile broadband ecosystem of consumer electronics devices.

Unti now C3607w is the smallest mobile broadband module, lightweight and fast, and able to work with the speed of 5.75 Mbps and lower energy consumption by 40 percent compared with the previous modules. Equipped with features wake-on-Ericsson that enables wireless wake-up command from the sleep mode, this CE module also makes sets of security applications and new messages. Ericsson Module C3607w consumer electronic devices will be available on the first quarter of 2010.
