Microsoft Kin Failed, Sales Suspended
The age of Kin, phone made by Microsoft and Sharp was only two months. The sales of two types of mobile phones designed to meet the needs of social networking easier were halted because of failure in the market.
“We have taken the decision to focus only on the release of Windows Phone 7 and not the Kin to be launched in the European this autumn as previously planned,” Microsoft said in a statement on Wednesday (30/06/2010). Kin development team is now merged into the Windows Phone 7 team.
Kin sold through Verizon in the U.S. operators are not smooth. In fact, just two months supply direct prices discounted from 49 dollars to 29 dollars and a second type of 99 U.S. dollars to 49 dollars. Price does not include subscription contracts 30 dollars per month.
Many who criticize Kin with limited features. Although the price is cheap, the contract is too expensive for mobile phone customers who can say no because there is no class smartphone app store. However, many are also praised Studion Kin feature that allows users to access online and check their of mobile phones services like SMS, phone, use of photos, and video. This service is backing up all of the content on Kin mobile phones.
