LG will Release Android Based Tablet
Following Apple’s iPad, LG is also planning to make a tablet computer as a competitor. LG said the tablets would be homemade-based open platform, Android. There is no confirmation if Sony Ericsson will leave Windows on its tablets products as planned or will use Android as a complement.
One month ago, LG has showcased a prototype tablet UX10. This tablet has a 10.1 inch touch screen size, use Atom Z530 processor, and has 1 GB of RAM. Unlike the iPad, LG UX10 has a 1.3 megapixel front camera resolution, SD memory card slot, and HDMI output. Sony UX10 also has a hard drive with a capacity of 120 GB and the OS Windows 7 Home Premium.
Pricing and availability has not been established UX10 LG stock. However, at Computex, Microsoft has confirmed that the device will be available in the near future.
Trend to develop a tablet device recently has increased. In the iPad, Apple use the iPhone OS. Meanwhile, HP plans to use WebOS platform recently acquired from Palm. The new LG will run on Android as do other vendors, such as Dell and Samsung Galaxy Streak Tape.
However, if you want to compete with the iPad, LG should be able to fill out the weakness of the Apple iPad, as yet there are no compatibility with flash and a USB port.
