These processors are promised to be able to extend the battery life, and improve system performance.

A new processor called the Atom N450 is 60% smaller than existing today. Power consumption was 20% less. According to the release of Intel, while working the chip only consuming power around 5.5 watts. But the new chip clock speed is the same as that used in N280 netbook, which is 1.66 GHz.

Smaller chip size makes the potential for inclusion into the netbook and tablet PCs that are thinner than they are today. The price of this chip itself has not revealed, but reportedly new PCs will be sold later for a netbook.
